TP-371 Pipeline Replacement Project
The TP-371 Pipeline Replacement Project (project) is designed to replace and upgrade 21 miles of an existing 36 mile portion of the Allegheny Valley Connector System in Armstrong and Indiana Counties, PA. The project will replace the original 12-inch diameter pipeline with a 20-inch diameter pipeline in an effort to upgrade the system for integrity, reliability, and safety purposes. The project will also include the installation of a pig launcher/receiver and the possibility of upgrading or discontinuing use of ancillary facilities. The replacement segment will be located approximately 10 to 15 feet from the existing segment where possible in order to maximize the availability of service on the existing segment during construction and to minimize impacts on landowners and the environment. The project's formal filing with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) was submitted on July 10, 2015, and the construction commenced in early 2016.
